With a name like V’s Cellar Door, you shouldn’t be surprised when you head underground to enjoy this restaurant. What may be startling, however, is just how comfortable this cellar can be. The décor is overwhelmingly simple. But, somehow, that only allows for the food and the service to stand in the spotlight. And both will impress you.
V’s Cellar Door isn’t like any other restaurant – and that’s not because of the strange setting. It’s the unusual blend of Korean and Mexican cuisines. It’s unlikely you’ve ever experienced food quite like this before. After all, a Bulgogi Steak Infused Burrito can’t be found on just any menu. In case you’re wondering, you’ll find that tortilla stuffed with more than Korean steak; it’ll also have cheeses, a cilantro lime relish, a signature slaw along with fusion salsa and sauce… and scrambled egg. And, of course, you can always order that with a side of Kimchi Rice (and just about every reviewer would recommend that you do just that).
In addition to all the Mexican slash Korean dishes listed on the menu, there are daily specials that will make it difficult for you to decide between your standard order and that oh so tempting daily delight. If you’re a taco lover, then you’ll need to head over on Tuesdays for their $3 tacos. Perhaps it’s time to try the Al Pastor tacos, filled with guajillo and pineapple marinated pork, cilantro, onions, and that fusion salsa you almost can’t live without. And, don’t worry; there are vegetarian and gluten-free options across the menu.
V’s Cellar Door is open every day of the week (which makes it easy if you’re traveling to reach the restaurant) from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. If you want to start drooling over the menu, you’ll find it on V’s website… and it will prompt you to make a reservation immediately. You can do that by calling (907) 586-6870.
